In March of 2008, folks packed the downstairs at Midway in NYC. The Theory crew and I had a great time. Ryan was on fire… “Burrrrn, New York City, burrrrn!” The lyricist like no one else. DBs and Overture kept the party live. The place was blowing up way before midnight. It was a lot of fun. Here’s the audio from my set. Enjoy.

This album was a mashup experiment. I blended the Ghost Dog Soundtrack (produced by RZA) with the Ghostbusters Soundtrack to make Dogbusters. It started as a joke, but a few tracks turned out pretty great. So in 2006 I released it. Here it is again.

Voidstar – Dogbusters 2006 [.zip]

ALBUM: Play Hard 2005

Play Hard 2005This was my first experimental album, Play Hard, released online in 2005.

You’ll hear IDM, DnB, ragga-jungle, and breakcore influences. There’s an obvious focus on hyper aggro percussion, spastic chopped samples, and pretty synths. Lot’s of experimentation, meandering. A little irony. Some tracks lack bass (remix anyone? contact me for track stems). I wish I had time to polish these up to their fullest potential. Alas, the wheel must turn.

It’s my oldest stuff, but definitely worth a listen. Enjoy!
